summer learning journey week 2 day 1 activity 3

kiora bloggers,

for this activity we wrote a letter Jacinda Ardern  about an issue that we want her to do something about. here is my letter!

Dear Jacinda Ardern,

As everyone knows  we are cutting down many trees and plants to make paper. I personally think that those trees we cut have had animals that have lived in it. Not only that but also because I learnt at school that trees give us oxygen to breath. If we continue cutting down trees we won't have much oxygen to breath. Many people also can suffer or even lose there lives. The solution that I think will work (maybe not) is we cut down only a limited number of trees to make paper. The paper we use can be recycled over and over again with out cutting down anymore trees.

yours sincerely,
Fatima

  1. Ata Mārie Fatima,

My name is Eliza and I’m working as a blog commenter on the Summer Learning Journey this summer. Have you done the Summer Learning Journey before? I’m looking forward to reading your posts and the other bloggers' posts from the Ako Hiko cluster, over the next week! If you want to know more about me, you can check out my blog.

I’ve just read your letter to Jacinda and I think it’s brilliant. I how you’ve presented it in letter format and its unique and creative how you’ve talked about deforestation - what a great idea! I can tell you feel strongly about NZ stopping cutting down trees. I totally agree - it’s definitely a big issue and I think it's really important that our government focuses on improving it. You never know...Jacinda may come across your blog!

Have you seen this article? You might find it interesting as it is related:

Also just a gentle reminder that the Summer Learning Journey finishes next Friday (24th January) so you have until then to do as many activities as you can. Remember that the more activities you do, the more points you gain and the higher the chance of you winning some really cool prizes!

Have a groovy day and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the coming week!

    Eliza :)

  2. Hello Fatima

I am Pao from Waikowhai Primary School and I am participating on the Summer Learning Journey programme. WOW! Amazing blog post Fatima. I very like the reasons you writted down of why we should not cut trees. Did you know there are more trees on earth than stars on the milky way? Maybe next time you should check your blog post again. Otherwise, masterful blog post Fatima.

    -Pao :)
