day 5 activity 1 Towering Timbers
Hi bloggers,
Today the summer learning journey task was to write about whether you think logging (cutting down trees) should be allowed in new Zealand here is what think :
I think that logging should be allowed only if we cut 1000 trees and then recycle the papers and then we can use them again
I think logging shouldn't be allowed because:
1. trees give us oxygen and if we cut them down we will have no air to breath in
2. the animals will die because they have no home.
do you think logging should be allowed? tell me what you think in the comments.

Kia Ora Fatima,
ReplyDeleteTino pai for talking about reasons both for and against logging in New Zealand. Logging trees is a big industry here in New Zealand. It gives many people jobs as well as providing our country with wood which we use to build houses, make paper etc.
Your idea about limiting the number of trees being cut down is great! An extension from that idea is after they have finished logging an area, they should plant tree seedlings. When those seedlings are fully grown, they can cut those down and plant more. This method of logging is called sustainable logging. It is becoming more popular here in New Zealand and I think it is a good idea. Do you think it is a good idea?
